Hi, I'm Shelley — a TEFL/TESOL certified English teacher and the founder of English Power Hour. That quote has stayed with me for years, and it's at the heart of everything I do. Language isn't just grammar and vocabulary — it's opportunity, connection, and freedom.
With over 10 years of experience teaching one-to-one English lessons, I've had the pleasure of helping hundreds of students find their voice and reach their English language goals. For more than 8 of those years, I lived and worked in Milan, Italy — teaching in schools across the city before moving into private lessons. My goal back then was simple: to help everyone in Italy speak English. That mission hasn't changed.
I specialize in working with Italian speakers, so I understand the specific challenges that come with learning English as an Italian native — and I know exactly how to help you overcome them.
